LEAD Programme
Do you run a small business? Would you like expert support to help you expand?
LEAD is a leadership development programme aimed at owners of small businesses with up to 20 employees based in the Northwest. It provides support and expertise for owners who want to expand their business and who could benefit from greater knowledge and confidence to help take that next step.
LSN, working in partnership with PINNA, is among the 13 providers who have been selected to deliver the programme across the Northwest. Lancaster University Management School originally designed and piloted LEAD – with impressive results...
90% of pilot delegates said they witnessed an average £200,000 increase in turnover following the pilot, with a similarly impressive rise in profit growth. And every owner said they felt more confident in their ability to strengthen and grow their business.
If you are interested in taking part, you will need to commit 2-3 days per month over a period of 10 months. This is a high value course, however the Northwest Regional Development Agency have provided significant financial support to reduce the cost to only £2,000 per business. And this could be reduced by a further £1,000 if you qualify for ‘Train to Gain’ Leadership and Management funding.
The programme includes:
• an overnight experiential (2 days of group sessions and activities);
• leadership and business masterclasses;
• action learning sets;
• one-to-one coaching;
• business shadowing and exchanges;
• and an online networking forum.
Through our partnership with PINNA, we have recruited a number of experienced coaches and inspirational speakers to lead the masterclasses, including:
Chris Boardman - the equipment and technical manager to the Team GB cyclists at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games who achieved unparalleled success. He is the Director of Coaching for British Cycling's Olympic Programs, the Head of Research and Development for the British Olympic Cycling Team and co-founder and Director of R&D Boardman Bikes.
