M-assessment
Overview
This on day participative workshop shows how assessment activities can be
designed and implemented using mobile devices. Delegates will gain an
understanding of how they can capture portfolio evidence, alongside identifying
best practice and experiencing a range of currently available assessment
activities.

How does it work?
Delegates will have an opportunity to participate in content creation, as well
as adopting a reflective approach to their own experience and that of other
delegates.
- Discussion of the purpose of assessment – including initial assessment activity
to check understanding of the purpose of evidence capture and assessment
- Production of a ‘tips and hints’ list on assessment activities followed by a
practical exercise in creating an assessment activity
- Discussion of good assessment activity compared with examples of poor practice
- How voting technologies can be used in the classroom
- Activity to capture evidence for an e-portfolio, using video, audio and images

This workshop is primarily designed for practitioners, including tutors,
teachers, support staff, m-champions and content creators from a variety of
organisational settings.
